A Poem
A poem on the conversion of Nebuchadnezzar.
The wrong side of history?
How do we live faithfully for God in a land which no longer apathetically ignores us, but aggresively pursues us?
Facing the unexpected
Martyn Lloyd Jones moved from a rural Welsh church to a large city congregation, full of anticipation in response to God’s call to minister in one of the great cities of the world. But then war broke out. Services were cancelled, church life disrupted and the future uncertain. Sound familiar?
Abundant Life
Who has the better life, the Christian or the non-Christian? Who gets the better deal? According to Christ the abundant life belongs to the Christian.
Trials of various kinds
Our faithful Father has lovingly laid every pothole on our road to heaven. They are divinely designed to make us more like His Son. And by His Spirit, He will carry us through.
Desiring God
What do we long for when things are going wrong? What David desires is not what God can do for him, but God Himself.
Is life on hold?
Life feels like it’s on hold, when will the waiting be over? When will ‘normal’ return? For the Christian, life is never on hold. God’s call to “redeem the time” is not qualified by context or circumstance. He calls us to work, even as we wait.
