The first Sunday service of Erne West Evangelical Church was on 4th January 1987. That year we also called our first minister, Rev. John Magee, who was about to commence his first service when we heard the terrible news of the Remembrance Day bomb in Enniskillen. One month later the present church building was opened. Being situated in rural Fermanagh, most of our young people move eastward for further education or employment. Although this depletes our numbers, we rejoice that young people who came to faith in Erne West now serve Him in other churches.

Around 2016 the leadership became convinced we needed a firmer doctrinal foundation, a deeper fellowship with like-minded churches and a more certain provision for future sound Biblical ministry. This led to much discussion and prayer, resulting in the decision to seek reception into the EPC, which took place at a very special service on Saturday 26 October 2019.
